The DRG Basin #5 project was constructed to control the flow from the aeration basin to the clarifiers. This was performed by installing three new sluice gates over the outfall pipe between the basin and clarifiers. Everything was completed within a 3 day period with long hours to prevent impact on the plants standard operation.
Upon completion, MSD can now regulate the flow between the basin and clarifier to allow them to run the plant more efficiently.
