The Jennie Rogers School Building Renovation transformed the west wing of the historical building into a childcare/pre-K school. The project included new restrooms, renovated East Wing classrooms, a new vestibule, teachers’ lounge, and offices. Hallways were upgraded with acoustical ceiling clouds, LVT, and tile flooring. Exterior work included new doors, wall infills, a playground, sidewalks, and ADA ramps. The motor court was repurposed, and internal plumbing was replaced, with all existing plumbing updated. A new fire suppression system was installed in the South Wing, East Wing, basement, and gym, modernizing the facility while preserving its community mission.
The project successfully transformed the west wing into a modern childcare/pre-K school, creating a safe, functional space for early education. A new fire sprinkler system enhances safety throughout, exterior improvements enhance both function and aesthetics, and the upgraded motor court improves accessibility. Overall, the renovation enhances safety, functionality, and educational value, benefiting the Danville community and its youngest residents.
